Make up shifts
The scheduler is at the top right hand corner of the home page
Make sure you have selected the correct location.
select your date
You can see how many AM or PM shifts are available. If there is openings fill in the request box.
You have to pick a full shift. But you do not have to work that full shift. Just let us know in the Notes box what hours you want exactly!
Guest Complaint Protocol
When we get a complaint, the front desk will create a Complaint Card on Connecteam
Throughout the process of managing the complaint, Salon Leads will continually update the card with any new information / what steps are being taking
The card will be labeled to communicate with the rest of the team where we are in the process
The three labels are: 'Waiting on Staff Action/Comment,' 'Left Message with Guest,' 'Complete'
The Location Lead will review the complaint and first message the service provider on Slack. Include them, their team leader, yourself, and Maria in the message. We are looking for their feedback on the appointment/situation prior to speaking to the guest.
Now, contact the guest. We always try to get them on the phone first.
If the guest does not answer, we leave a message and request a call back
This is when the Complaint Card is labeled: 'Left Message with Guest'
If they do not answer our second call we send them a text on Phorest Chat letting them know you are trying to reach them and ask them when a good time for a call would be.
Once you get ahold of them, we prioritize getting them back on the stylists schedule. If the guest declines that offer we may:
Schedule them for another appointment with someone new
Offer them a discount on a future appointment
Refund them
Message that it is complete to the stylist and stylist's team leader for them to discuss at their next 1 on 1
Time Off Policies
You have 3 ways to request time off of work. Each has some rules but all are requested through your Zenefits App.
ALL STAFF:
Sick Leave
All employees (part and full-time) get 40 hours of Paid sick time front-loaded on January 1st each year. For new employees sick leave is prorated.
There is a 30 day waiting period to start using your sick pay.
Request the time, mark out your books and let the front desk team know you need help moving guests.
Sick hours are not required to be made up.
SERVICE PROVIDERS:
Unpaid Time Off
You can not reschedule existing appointments for vacation that are less than 2 months in advance.
All stylists have 64 hours of flex unpaid hours that do not have to be made up.
After using your 64 hours any unpaid time off must be made up.
Makeup days must be planned 8 weeks or more in advance using the online scheduler. Link below.
You can make up a shift 6 weeks before or after your time off (as long as it is planned 8 weeks in advance)
All stylists get 64 hours front-loaded on January 1st in Zenefits. Any hours you didn’t use in the year do not roll over.
Vacation Pay
You can not reschedule existing appointments for vacation that are less than 2 months in advance.
You may request vacation pay at any time in increments of 1 hour using the zenefits app.
The salon only rewards up to the current budget on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is best to plan ahead. If the salon has used all of its budget you will be asked to take the pay on the following month’s payroll.
Stylists receive vacation pay starting at level 2. A 24 hour work week is required for eligibility.
Vacation pay does not need to be made up.
How to fill out my w4
Unfortunately, we are not tax advisors. Legally, we are not supposed to give you advice on how to fill out your W4! Of course these things can be confusing and we wish that we could help more. The government recomends that you talk to a tax advisor if your personal situation is complicated. They also have a tool to help you. Fill this out first and if it makes sense use the information to update your W4.
If you have another employer please note there is a box to claim this on your W4!
